Have you seen online or Pop up ads usually for face cream or diet pills? Asking you to “Click here for a Free Trial”? Most free trials are for vitamins and beauty products, but can also be other goods and electronic services. Be wary: they may say “Free”, but they are not. These free trials ask you to put your card number in to pay for postage for the free trial, however, in their Terms and Conditions they state that unless you cancel the free trial within a certain amount of time, they will continue to send you the product each month and bill you for that product. This can also apply to media downloads, anti-virus software and any type of electronic transactions that are free to start with. Please note: the only way to stop these transactions is to stop the card involved. As you have participated in the transaction, there are no chargeback rights, unless you do not receive the product or have received it, sent it back and asked for a refund.
